Changes made to pattern listing images
If you have visited my etsy shop recently, you will find that the images for pattern listings have changed. All the images for patterns now have a small corner banner that reads ‘Pattern’.
This is to avoid any problem that buyers may misunderstand that the listing is intended for the finished doll.
No doubt, I have stated clearly on the first line of the description that the listing is for the pattern, and the finished doll is listed separately. However, recently, Amy of Melbangel was bugged by a buyer who bought her patterns, and when the patterns were sent to her via email, the buyer replied to demand for a refund as she thought it was the finished product she was purchasing.
Amy has stated that it is a pattern, but this still happened. When Amy shared this incident with me, I was flabbergasted. Amy is a very nice lady whom I had referred buyers to her shop, her fine workmanship is impressive.
What audacity to request for refund of a digital item?!!!??? Frankly, I would not refund for similar situation if that was to happen to me! I mean, if you purchase the digital music online, and downloaded it, would you be unreasonable enough to ask the seller to refund the fees because you downloaded the wrong music?
The rest about this incident invited many different perspectives and arguments, I stand my ground that it is not reasonable enough that I would refund sold patterns.
