wedding dolls made by cyndi

Wedding couple made by Cyndi

I have mentioned Cyndi many times in my blog, but never have I posted any finished projects of hers. Oh well, she sent me photos of the projects all the time, but she usually took them in the evening, and sometimes, a little out of focus. It served the purpose though, she merely wanted to show me the finished projects and ask me for feedback.

She sent me this photo last night, and although it’s still taken in the evening, it’s ‘usable’ to feature. :)

I am asking her to try take more photos of her previously completed projects (if they are still with her, she is a very sweet girl, she has been making dolls from my patterns to give away as gifts), and will share them with you once I received them.

One thing about Cyndi which distinguishes her away from my other buyers would be that she actually buys dolls with the patterns. Another word, she would order the same doll she was going to make from that pattern which she was ordering too.

I had been trying to deter her from buying the dolls, since I think she is good enough to not refer to the actual doll. You may not believe this, but when she first came to me, she was completely new to crochet, within short time, she progresses so much and her finished dolls are identical to mine!

It’s amazing, because every crafter has a different tension control and results may vary. With undying determination, Cyndi would undo stitches as many times as it may require, so that her works resemble the originals.

I’ve been asked many times, if a person who is completely new to this craft would be able to make dolls similar to what I have made. Oh well, it’s completely possible, but you really need more determination, and desire for perfection. (and you think I don’t undo stitches? I still do, because I do expect highly from myself)

Thank you, Cyndi, for sharing!
