cotton yarn – new!
The cotton yarns have arrived!!!
Remember the coaster set I did and blogged? I have been waiting, waiting, and waiting…
This is fine quality mercerized 100% cotton yarn from Japan – Olympus. The strand is braided, so it’s really easy to crochet/knit. You know how we may sometimes pick up partial of the yarn – ply and have to undo the entire round?
I am not saying that this is 100% foolproof, but it’s definitely less prone for the strands to split apart.
I brought in 10 colors for now. The color for the coaster I made, was a loose single ball, and the color is actually discontinued.
I have tried making doll from my pattern with these yarns, and it works perfectly, except that the finished doll is larger.
These yarns are perfect for bags, hats, washcloth… and many more!
The cost for the cotton yarn is many times much higher than the acrylic yarn, so this reason, the bulk discount is less generous. I am also unable to grant saplanet’s club members additional discount.
