[WIP] something brewing
Some of the supplies here have been lying around for more than 6 months, and the ideas are sketched in my crafting sketch book, but they just don’t get to the stage of ‘starting off’.
In the next newsletter which is expected to be end of the month, would carry a piece of announcement with details on the revised turnaround time for different products in the store.
Generally, most handcrafted finished products will now have a minimum 5-8 working days turnaround time instead of the previous 3 working days, while supplies and patterns are not affected. Customized dolls may require a minimum 2-4 weeks turnaround time. The turnaround time will be adjusted according to the volume of orders received from time to time. I am also considering a ‘quota’ system for handcrafted products.
I have been too busy for too long, and I never have enough time to do anything else. I have decided to re-structure my work schedule and optimize my work load in a more efficient fashion. I want to continue to design and create, and not just crafting my existing designs. Most importantly, the primary reason why I give up a fat pay check for, is to be able to enjoy every day doing what I love perfectly. This must not become just another job that devour my life. With this change, I hope I get to manage work life balance better, and get to create new designs more regularly.
psst… many of you have been asking the patterns of a specific range, which is now only offered as finished products. One design is finally completed, and one amigurumi design is underway. They should make it in time to roll out in the month end newsletter.
