migration in progress…
You might not have noticed, if you are repeat visitor to our blog, until you take a look at the address bar, it now reads “http://saplanetoriginals.com” – it was previously http://saplanetcraftblog.wordpress.com – because we have finally moved to our self-hosted server!
My sincerest apologies for the changes over the years. It was hosted at the blogger first, then I moved it to the shop’s domain (http://simpleartsplanet.com), then while I was holidaying in Hong Kong early last year, my webhost provider emailed with “RED ALERT” that they needed to shut down my website because of the crazy traffic boost which overloaded the CPU resources; then, I moved the blog out to wordpress hosted server.
I have enjoyed the free service for more than a year and a half now, and I love wordpress, I just think I have been ranting about the super slow loading into the admin control.
It is all an ‘accident’ though. I was really truly busy with the recent sale, but I was researching something online, and accidentally bumped into a topic of self-hosted wordpress blogs, and more accidentally, bumped into a sale on domain and hosting plan! Right, I acted on it, and the rest is history.
I miss all the plugins and all other wonders I could do with self-hosted wordpress blogs though.
I am still trying to tidy up this blog for a bit, but for now, please pardon the virtual dust and perhaps some broken links, and also the possible occasional popping up of the “under construction” sign. (I miss that too!!!! The ability to put up such a sign, is evilishly delightful!)
Meanwhile, a few things to note:
1. redirection – most of the old links will be redirected to this new address now, but some links might not exist anymore as I decide to clean up the blog.
2. feed – my sincerest apologies for the changes you have made whenever I changed the domain; please update your feed in your browser/reader
3. subscribers – wordpress subscribers might not receive any notification from now on; previously subscribers on feedburner will continue to receive updates as I have moved it over.
