Sparkle Thots Jewellery :: Ribbons Ring (Ring)

Ruth, of Sparklethots is amongst one of the many crafters whom I got to know through crafting.

I am trying to retrace my footsteps to the time when I first started crafting. Much has changed since Ruth, Cindy (starrydesigns) and I met up for the first time.

I didn’t need to craft for a living – the income helped to pay bills, but hardly a ‘need’ to feed mouths then – so I had more time to keep myself updated on friends’ and fellow crafters’ new updates.

My priorities took a big shift when my parents are retired, and I am grateful that my crafting business has been the main revenue generator to support them financially.

There is still a ton of things happening in my life right now, and unfortunately, not all are desirable or pleasant. I begin to develop guilt when I spend too much time not working – many indie designers who depend solely on their indie crafting businesses to sustain day-to-day living expenses would understand what it is like – so I spend very limited time checking on updates of friends’ newest products/activities.

Sparklethtots has launched “Ribbon Rings” for a while now, and it’s been a great success! Its simple, delicate and elegant design is perfect to be worn on special occasions or any occasion.

Like I’ve said, much has changed, so has my body weight. I have gained so much weight now, that my wedding ring – which I ordered a size larger, as I really dislike ring, it ‘disrupts’ activities such as writing when the ring created impression on the neighboring fingers – doesn’t fit as loosely on the ring finger anymore. I don’t like the ‘just fit’ feel, so I stop wearing the ring, with loving approval from the husband. ha.ha.ha.

That is just me, of course. Many of my female friends love rings! I love costume rings, but not permanent ring, you know what I mean? Costume jewelry makes a statement of your mood of the day; and occasion.

Thanks so much Lis for the feature! Yes, so much has changed since we last met. I’ve also been less active online and am chasing after 2 rascals now.
